Measurable tests around WordPress: speed, security, privacy and SEO.
Burger menu won’t open, slider stands still, popup doesn’t respond? Usually “Load JavaScript deferred” is behind it. One line in the excluded JavaScript files fixes it. Reproduced and checked in our lab.
From 4.4 to 1.5 seconds on mobile, with menu and slider still working. The biggest lever is “Remove Unused CSS”. And with Elementor Pro, one setting needs an exclusion, or menu, slider and popup fail at times.
Elementor 4.3 is already well optimized out of the box: without its built-in options, our test page loads a full second slower. Fonts are the biggest extra lever. Two settings made no measurable difference.
By default, Elementor loads fonts from Google and passes on every visitor’s IP address. One setting changes that. In our lab, the page also got faster: from 4.51 to 3.90 seconds on mobile.
